Arginine: everyone mentions it, but what does it actually do in your body?
Arginine is an amino acid your body turns into nitric oxide, a molecule that helps blood vessels relax. VitalisPro L-Arginine supports circulation and the flow of blood to your muscles, so you keep your breath and your energy from morning to evening.
- ✓ Supports circulation — arginine is the raw material for nitric oxide, a molecule that loosens the vessel wall and eases the passage of blood
- ✓ Works where the muscle works — on a brisk walk, a physical job or a workout, more blood and oxygen reach the muscle
- ✓ Not only a blood story — arginine also goes into building proteins and creatine, and into clearing ammonia
- ✓ A choice for every healthy adult — active or sedentary, whatever the pace of life

Arginine in plain words
So what is arginine?
Proteins are built from small units called amino acids, and arginine is one of them. The L in L-Arginine marks its natural form, the same one found in food.
Your body makes part of it and food supplies the rest, which is why it is called semi-essential. Since meals change from one day to the next, so does the amount that actually reaches you.
Where do you find it? Mostly in seeds (pumpkin, sesame), peanuts, almonds and walnuts, in lentils and chickpeas, and then in poultry, fish, eggs and dairy. If those foods are rare on your table, your intake stays low and uneven.
Each capsule of VitalisPro L-Arginine holds 500 mg of high-purity arginine in a plant-based shell, and the box contains 60 capsules. Nothing else, apart from a little plant-derived magnesium stearate used in manufacturing. The product is ONSSA compliant and reaches you with payment on delivery anywhere in Morocco.
Inside the capsule, ingredient by ingredient
| Component | Per capsule | Role |
|---|---|---|
| High-purity L-Arginine | 500 mg | Semi-essential amino acid that the body converts into nitric oxide, which goes along with blood flow to the muscles. |
| Over a day | 1,000 to 1,500 mg | That means 2 or 3 capsules, depending on the recommended use. |
| Vegetable capsule (cellulose) | — | A cellulose shell, no animal gelatin at all. |
| Magnesium stearate (vegetable origin) | — | A plant-derived manufacturing aid, in a very small amount. |
The list matches the box exactly.
What arginine does in the body
The body uses arginine to make nitric oxide. That molecule signals the vessel walls to loosen up, which lets blood flow with less resistance and bring oxygen and nutrients to the muscles. A meta-analysis of 12 short placebo-controlled trials found that oral arginine improved how well vessels widen, but only in people who started with reduced widening (Bai et al., 2009).
Arginine does more than that. The body also uses it to assemble proteins, to make creatine (the muscle’s quick energy reserve) and to clear ammonia, a waste product of protein breakdown (Wu et al., 2009).
During exercise, a meta-analysis on sports performance reports possible benefits on some measures, varying a lot with dose and duration (Viribay et al., 2020). A review of nitric-oxide supplements adds that the response is clearer in people with little training than in elite athletes (Bescós et al., 2012). These studies describe what research observes; they do not guarantee any individual result.
On safety, a risk assessment sets the safe intake level for arginine well above the daily dose of this product (Shao & Hathcock, 2008).
This supplement comes on top of a varied diet and an active life; never a substitute for treatment or medical advice.
Spotting what arginine can support
| You notice… | What arginine supports |
|---|---|
| You get out of breath sooner than before on a fast walk or carrying shopping | Blood circulation and oxygen delivery to the muscles |
| Your energy collapses late in the afternoon, long before the day is over | Late-day energy |
| Your body takes longer to bounce back from effort: sport, gardening, moving house | Muscle oxygenation and recovery |
| Seeds, nuts and legumes rarely show up in your meals | A known, regular arginine intake instead of one that varies daily |
| You prefer a readable formula with nothing superfluous | One amino acid, a plant-based capsule, an ONSSA-compliant product |
How to take it
Take 2 to 3 capsules a day with a large glass of water, in the morning on an empty stomach or about 30 minutes before physical activity. Stay within the daily dose shown.
Plan on at least one month: a box of 60 capsules lasts 30 days at 2 a day and 20 days at 3. With two boxes, the course carries on without a break.
To round it out: MAG-COMPLEX 400 mg can be taken alongside, since magnesium contributes to reducing tiredness and to normal muscle function. Store the box away from heat and damp, away from children, and check the seal when it arrives.
